As you browse our website you'll notice the qualities that combine to make Briarwood a nationally renowned educational institution. Within its walls are bright, curious children, talented, skillful teachers, and, an unbelievable team of dedicated, caring professionals.

We start each day rooted in the belief that every child can learn and has the right to be taught in the way that he or she learns best. Our role as educators is to assess the most appropriate methodology for teaching each child. We then employ those methods to provide experiences that capitalize on the unique talents and traits of each child. We also stay abreast of the latest research to determine how that research can transfer into our classrooms.

At Briarwood, we view children with learning differences—commonly labeled attention deficit disorder, dyslexia, etc.—not as disabled or disadvantaged, but as possessing powerful talents to learn and succeed. We provide an environment that not only meets the challenges these different learning styles present, but also nurtures the whole child—intellectual, social and physical. We help students understand how they learn best, how they can take advantage of their strengths and how they can become their own self-advocates.
