Briarwood is an independent, non-profit school that offers children with learning disabilities (Lower School and Middle-Upper School) and developmental delays (Tuttle School) a broad range of programs. “At Briarwood, we provide an environment that not only meets the challenges these different learning styles present, but also nurtures the whole child–intellectual, social, emotional and physical. We help students understand how they learn best, how they can take advantage of their strengths and how they can become their own self-advocates.”
“At Briarwood, we provide an environment that not only meets the challenges these different learning styles present, but also nurtures the whole child…”
Our role as educators is to assess the most appropriate methodologies for teaching each child. We then employ these methods to provide experiences that capitalize on the unique talents and traits of each child. We stay abreast of the latest research to determine how that research can transfer into our classrooms.
Thank you for your interest in Briarwood. I encourage you to visit our campus and to see students engaged in active learning. The exciting spirit of Briarwood is seen throughout the school every day!
Enjoy your visit!
