Screening Information

Briarwood Plus Screening Day: Saturday, April 11

Students will meet with Briarwood Plus teachers to undergo their initial screening to determine where their Reading/Writing/Phonics levels are at. This will help teachers to ensure the student is grouped correctly, and can benefit from the program. Sign-up information for screening day will be shared in a follow-up email after application materials are received.

  1. Complete the online application.
  2. Submit the following required forms:
    • Teacher Recommendation (downloadable form available on the information page)
    • Most recent report card
    • Recent Evaluations (if available)
    • Authorization of Release Form
    • Most recent vaccination record

All forms should be emailed to rmoore@briarwoodschool.org.

Once records are received, families will be contacted to schedule an entry screening. At the discretion of The Briarwood School, additional references from teachers or administrators may be requested.

If your child consistently refuses to follow camp rules, instructions from staff, or engages in defiant behavior (e.g., refusing to participate, ignoring requests to stop disruptive behavior), they may be asked to leave the program without reimbursement.
